Florida Department of Environmental Protection – Division of Air Resource Management (DARM) – FAMAS

Client Need: Florida DARM contracted with a company providing a COTS application that tracked air monitoring sites and imported the data. Due to the volume of data in Florida, the COTS solution needed to be re-engineered to use the Oracle Very Large DataBase (VLDB) features and the interface redesigned to use the partitioned data.

Our Solution: E24X7INC provided a team that consisted of a Systems Analyst, Application Development Analysts and a Manager of Application Development to understand the business requirements of the project and to architect and implement a solution. This resulted in the creation of a custom written Oracle VLDB partitioned database and web-based application that transferred the data from the polled monitoring stations, assessed, stored, and reported on all facets of the air quality data via the Florida Air Monitoring and Assessment System.
